I’m a week behind in Artwords, but I wanted to post this because I had a ton of fun with it. The topic was “Synchronicity” and I read the topic, took a nap, and this was the vision that came to me in my dreams:
I thought a long time about this topc, but when it came down to it, for me, it means that life puts itself back into balance. Whether it is through forcing us to make a choice that we know we should make but hesitate on, or by providing us with opportunities that we should take advantage of, even if we didn’t know we wanted to “go there”.
Personally, I think about how I have had to balance my life again by not working full time in the publishing business. I am spending my energy doing what I love and taking care of myself.
I’ve been spending time in the studio just creating backgrounds and reading Traci Bautista’s Collage Unleashed. I actually took the image above and did some cool stuff in PhotoShop with it, following along with Traci’s contention that you should always at least copy your work and repurpose it. I’m learning to do that and to play with it. I haven’t actually created anything with it yet, but I hope to do some art journaling and maybe even create some cards for family and friends with it.
