Fun with art

This is a piece of fabric – heavy canvas – that I painted with heavy body acrylics and then allowed them to dry.

I started to write with a calligraphy pen, but then I decided it needed more. Using Traci Bautista, the class I took with her, and the book and video. I have been trying for two weeks to do artwork for a Fat Book for Art Unraveled. I finally came up with this by relaxing and playing. I’ll take a 4″ x 4″ piece of this and use it for the fat book entry.

Right now, I’m going to help my friend who is the President of AZ Safe Haven. She needs a brochure for this weekend’s fundraiser, so I’m going to help her out. That’s where my time will be spent for the rest of today!
