an inspiring day with a friend

Yesterday, my friend, Angie came over and we played. She did some soldering work and I did some work on some projects I promised for some friends. We talked for hours as we were working and, before we knew it, five hours had passed! It’s been great getting to know Angie and I know we’ll do it again!
I’ve started some mini (5″ x 7″) canvasses that match their styles or something about them. It’s interesting. I think one of my favorite things about creating is that I really don’t always know what I’m going to get before it’s finished. I can’t post the images here because they are a surprise for a friend, but I just feel so inspired after yesterday that I just had to share!
I also figured I’d share a canvas I did a while ago. It needs some fine tuning, but it’s one of the first ones I did using multiple layers for creating the look I wanted.
Today I hope to finish up at least two of the projects for my friends and to get the third of my husband’s collages created. I need to finish up the prior ones, as well. I’m inspired!

I love the colors, layers and textures! Can you tell us more about how you did this!
