Collage Challenge #7
Posted on | October 30, 2006 | 7 Comments
This is the final collage for the ClothPaperStudios 7-day Collage challenge. I didn’t do it over 7 days, I did it over four. It was a good distraction for a time when I was not able to stand up for very long in front of the easel. They’re not bad. Quite colorful, and they all speak to something that is part of my life now. This one, I did yesterday while drinking my morning coffee in my studio.
I’m doing better today, but I’m going to take it slow, still. I plan to clear off the art table that did not get cleared off yesterday. (I need to make room for Angie to come over on Wednesday and we’ll play in the studio. ) And then I want to work on the journal I mentioned yesterday from Serendipity.
I also need to do some work for Dave’s practice, but that may not happen until tomorrow. I need a completely clear head to work with numbers and I’m not quite there yet.

This is a beautiful collage. I’m glad that doing the collages allowed you to have your mind off other things.
Belated birthday greetings ~ glad you were able to enjoy the show and have some wonderful laughs.
My very best wishes.

Wonderful piece Fran! I love how everything blends and looks like it was already part of the piece!

Love what you did with this challenge. The mag pics look somewhat hazy like. Did you alter them?
It all looks great!

I used Caron D’Ache Neocolors over them. I use the white a lot to lighten the images so they aren’t straight from magazines or other source material.

Oh my gosh, I’ve been away from your site longer than I realized! You’ve been posting some really nice work. I can see through your art how much better you’ve been feeling. Keep it up!
