First offerings on Etsy

I’ve finally done it! I’ve taken the plunge into selling my own artwork. It’s artwork I love and would love to hang in my home, so that’s the sign for me that it might just sell. We’ll have to see! I opened my Etsy shop. I have some more to put up, but I do need to spend some time with my husband this weekend.
Below are three of the four works I have up for sale with a description of them.
| The first is a mixed media wax painting using paper, various acrylic media and wax on canvas. It is 7″ x 5″ on gallery wrapped canvas. This is a piece I started a while ago when I hand decorated the papers by hand to create texture and color. They came together in this wax painting to depict the sunset, so it is called “Arizona Sunset”. You can find it here if you’re interested in purchasing it. | |
| This next one is called “Thoughts and Presents”. The vintage image is from a photo I purchased (one of those “adopted ancestors”, you know?). The girl just seems to be deep in thought, so she got thought bubbles, you see! |
|
| The third collage I put up today is called, “Out the Window”. It’s using all hand-decorated papers and pieces of my art journal, as well. In addition, this is wax on gallery-wrapped canvas with acrylic paint and encaustic wax to add the color. It measures 5″ x 7″ and is available here. |
I will post the rest tonight when I post some more collages to Etsy.

Thanks you! I love the fluidity of the wax and how you really never know what to expect!
