Works in Progress – Continued

Posted on | November 29, 2006 | 6 Comments

So, I thought I’d continue to show you how these are emerging! Here is the latest:

WIP 1

Work in Progress 1 – As I mentioned in the prior post, this one needed some toning down. In real life, it looks more green, so I used some green acrylic to unify the background and make it less dominant in the design. Then I added some of my other collaged images to give it some focus in the front. It’s not done yet, but it’s headed in a direction I like.
Wip 2 continued WIP 2 – This one is almost done. I added some more red where it was needed and then decorated around the sides of the canvas, since it’s gallery wrapped. I just need to do a bit of highlighting.
What emerged from this was a bird. It’s still in the defining stages, but I know where this one is headed. I will continue to work on this one. DH likes it a lot, so it will be added to his exam room at the practice when it’s done!

In addition, while I waited for them to dry, I spent time making 24 Christmas cards to include in some of my gifts to friends. I used an old photo I purchased on ebay as part of a lot of old photos. From there, I hand colored it. I don’t have it right next to me right now, so I figured I’d just mention it here. Besides, I want it to be a bit of a surprise to friends!

Tomorrow Angie is coming over, so who knows what sort of trouble we’ll get into! :)
