I’ve been tagged by Lia to list five weird things about myself. I recently did this, but there’s always more to share… So here are my five weird things:
1. I went to my first concert at age 6. I was obsessed with Tom Jones. My mother took me to what was then Sunrise Musical Center in South FL. It no longer exists
2. Windsocks make me laugh. Seriously. I cannot pass the mile of cars a bit down the road without laughing at them. I will go out of my way to take that road when I’m down. I blast the music and it always seems that they’re dancing to whatever I’m listening to!
3 I collect Wizard of Oz things and have always loved that movie. A Wizard of Oz reference on TV or in a movie makes me smile and laugh and cry!
4. When I was in second or third grade, there was this one-man traveling show thing that my mother took me to. I have no idea who the guy was, but he had a lasting impression on me. He acted out Harry Chapin’s song “Cats in the Cradle”, playing the parts of father and son. I cannot listen to that song without remembering this sad rendition.
5. I am a stickler for punctuation and spelling – which you might not know from reading my blog! I shudder when someone uses an ‘s to indicate plural or capitalizes something that is not supposed to be capitalized.

I too love that song by Harry Chapin, very sad but oh, so true! My 2 sons must’ve watched The Wizard of Oz a hundred times when they were small if they watched it once….think the monkey’s used to freak them out….oh wait…think that might be a later version??? Brain is playing tricks on me…..so what else is new! lol
