Time flies – update; Manic Monday reminder;

Well, my apologies to everyone for not getting back to you with scans of the collages my friends have done with my collage sheets. Things have been a bit nutty in our house. We had guests this weekend until to Tuesday. And I had a dental cleaning Tuesday that took a lot longer than I had thought it would. By the time I got home, I was exhausted. And so I mostly sat and did some doodling – and napped!
But that’s irrelevant. Here are the images I promised:

Tim Cree, Tracey’s husband, created this lovely collage using images from three different collage sheets – “Vintage Children”, “Vintage Images 1″ and “Swirly Alphabet and Numbers”. Thanks Tim! |

Wednesday I developed a lovely cough and started antibiotics. Fun, fun, fun. I scanned some cabinet cards and other vintage images I had purchased so I can start to clean them up. I also did some reorganizing because my muse has been a bit absent this week. I looked around and realized that I have far too many stickers for someone who doesn’t use them. I’m giving many to my mother-in-law and I gave some to a friend. I will probably put others in bags and boxes that I ship. I just want stuff that I don’t use and don’t see myself using to be out o the studio. It will all work out. I just need to make sure I think twice before purchasing things. I’ve been fairly good about that, for the past six months, though…
I have spent yesterday and today cutting out images for more anatomy art for my husband’s office. It took almost two days to get the images I need. It amazes me to look at these images! It reminds me that Bodyworlds 3 is in town and that I want to go and see the exhibit with my husband. We need to get those tickets! Dave has requested at least two larger canvases that will highlight the muscles, nerves and bones. I’m going to try to do something with the brain and spinal cord, too. He keeps whining for more art, so more art he will get.
Today I cut out images and took a break to go back to my new favorite store, SAS Fabrics. Dave is doing a magic show at our niece’s 6th birthday party in two weeks. And I promised to make capes. So I went to SAS today and scrounged their fabric by the pound options. I found some neat rayons that I’ll play with tomorrow. This time, however, I actually looked up patterns on the Internet. LOL
Don’t forget that there is still time to enter the Manic Monday contest for one sheet of each of the two new collage sheets! I’ll draw names Monday morning from people who simply comment in my blog. It’s SO EASY to enter the contest!
I’ll announce the winner here. All entries must be received by 8 am Mountain Time Monday to be included in the drawing.
I’ll update over the weekend with images of the capes and share a painting – or three – I did, as well.

I certainly understand why your husband wants more of your art for his office!! Your “body” art is fabulous! Last time “Body Worlds” was in Chicago, we did a family outing to see it. It was incredible. It is coming back here and I probably will go see it again.
On another note, I will not be able to travel to Phoenix this winter (which is too bad since it is frigid here in IL). I will definitely be coming in August for Art Unraveled. I am planning on staying for a week after to visit with my friend Janet. Hopefully e will be able to spend extra time together too.
-hugs, shari

Hi Fran, It’s great to see you back. I’ll be waiting to see the capes, and other beautiful creations. I received your package yesterday with the beautiful sakura gellyroll items. Gorgeous. Thank you so much. Check out my blog for the first postcard I made with them. Thank you so much for also including collage sheets. You are such an angel. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Wendy
p.s. Please don’t include my name in this draw as you have already sent me so much including the collage sheets. And did I say thanks?
