Some cards and ATCs

Posted on | February 6, 2007 | 8 Comments

I found my muse. I think she’s been stuck under the stickers I’m trying to sort through… No matter, I dug her out of the rubble…Nude ATCs

This weekend I played with Color Mists from Outside The Margins. I received them from a friend in a secret sister swap. (Thanks Christy!) I think they were just what I needed to let the muse feel comfortable to come back to me. :) I have the first set, the Brite Lights Set. I took watercolor paper and sprayed. I just sprayed, heat set to keep the color from soaking too much into the paper (and to make the color more vibrant) and then added additional color as needed. The bright colors cheered me up and brought inspiration.

One of my friends had asked me to participate in a nude ATC swap. (No, I did not have to be nude while creating it; there had to be a nude in the design of the card! LOL) So, I cut up the pages and created the ATCs to the right. I hope the recipients will enjoy them! I had fun making them as I reintroduced myself to the muse! :)

Rainbow Weave CardAnd since I was here in my studio, cutting up watercolor paper, I ended up with some paper in interesting sizes. I figured I’d try some paper weaving. And I love the result. These are both available in my Etsy Shop. On the left is Rainbow Weave, to which I added dots with Sakura’s Gold Shadow pen in green.Woven Heart Card

To the right is a second one I did – Woven Heart, which also used Sakura’s Gold Shadow pen in green. It’s perfect for February’s “love” theme!

More coming soon. I do have some inchies I’m working on, thanks to the influence of Lia, who can’t seem to get enough of the inchies. This morning, I looked at what was left of the watercolor paper I had cut up, and there were precise sizes for cutting inchies… I’ve started, but I had not ever realized how incredibly SMALL a 1″ square is!
