Checking in, but not quite finished…

Yesterday and today, I’ve gotten no art done, but I’m feeling quite accomplished, as I focus on organizing my space. I was very clear about what needed to go and didn’t need to go. Yesterday, after I reorganized and prioritized where things go on the shelves, I took some time to finally put up some of my paintings and drawings in the studio (photos tomorrow my dear friends!). Even my little canvases that are up for sale in my Etsy shop are up on the wall. Now i get to enjoy them until someone else chooses to purchase them (fingers crossed), and I can easily keep track of my inventory. I did find one or two collages that had not yet been put up for sale yet. I’ll probably do that this coming week. It feels good to have the color up on the walls like that. Even DH was excited to see that I’d done it. Now to get paintings up in the rest of the house…. One room at a time!
But the cleanup is going well. I usually don’t get to the closet in my studio, since that always had things in front of it. Well, today I decided it was time to tackle that monster. And I did. I had a lot of things – old catalogs, esp. – that needed to go. They were from scrapbook and stamping companies. Since I rarely do either any longer, it makes no sense to have them here. They are being nicely recycled!
And I found some things I knew that I had but that I could not for the life of me find. It was a great morning. Very productive. The tabletop is where things go to be sorted, so that will still take a while, but I am on the right track here with it. My goal is to get this cleared off today so I can cut the fabric for the capes. It’s definitely something that has to be done today and tomorrow to prepare for our Washington, DC trip, which is next Friday. Furthermore, on Monday, I have my treatment. I suspect that other than some needlepoint and maybe some pen work, I’ll be spending my time fatigued. And that means that I won’t be able to do as much physical stuff after Monday, which is fine.
Back to the cleanup! Have an awesome day!

GOOD for you. It must be a wonderful feeling, even your closet. Wow.
I must say how much I loved your paper weaving. I’ll be in touch sometime in the next week about my beautiful Sakura pens. I’m hoping to play with them more later next week when we’re at the farm.
Take care.
hugs,
Wendy XO
