Whew! An artistic frenzy
Posted on | March 14, 2007 |
Well, dear readers, I’ve been busy. I have stayed away from the computer for a while, instead, focusing on some art and organization. I got rid of many magazines I know I’ll never cut up and use, kept those that are vintage or something I know I’ll use. That cut down on my stock significantly! I also reorganized some of the things that I had in different areas and put them all in one of those large hardware drawer things. I’m still working on this, and I need to add in some labels.
Last week, while my husband was dealing with the icky bug that is going around, I did some work in the studio. This, of course, was between making sure he had enough liquids and soup to keep him happy and enough poker on Tivo to make it through the day! He’s much better and we are preparing to leave for Hawaii in the morning! ![]()
This weekend, I worked in the calendar journal and put together some pages to journal while we’re traveling. I don’t have time to post photos right now, but I will be working on these things while I’m away and I’ll photograph them when I return at the end of the month.
Monday was my treatment, which went well. I did sleep a lot and I did have quite a bit of nausea, but the fatigue didn’t really hit until evening. And, best of all, I slept well. Yesterday I was able to finish the other project I wanted to complete before our trip. Last week, I dyed some t-shirts I found for $5.00. Then I heat set them and painted on them with fabric paints and heat set them again. To the left is the result. I’m pretty happy with them. And, I’m glad that I finished them up yesterday, since today I felt the nausea and fatigue hit hard. I’ve been taking it easy, making sure I have my list of things to bring is ready to go.
I do plan to bring the MacBook with me, though I’m not sure I’ll be able to publish on the blog. I’ll probably take some photos and put them on with little explanation and I’ll catch you all up later. I wish you all a great 10 days!

Fran, I hope you have a wonderful, well-deserved vacation! What fun t-shirts you made - I look forward to reading how you made them and seeing the close up photos.
I have never been to Hawaii, so I can’t wait to read all about it when you get back.
