like a ton of bricks

Posted on | May 8, 2007 | 3 Comments

I had my treatment yesterday. My dear friend, Angie, was kind enough to join me again. And we talked the whole time. After the fabulous non-reaction last time, I was hopeful that it would be the same this month. Not so much.

At around 3 yesterday, the fatigue hit me like a ton of bricks. So I fell asleep on the couch. I woke to my husband checking in on me via phone and I fear I was completely incoherent, since I cannot remember the conversation. Dave was kind enough to stop and pick up some dinner and then he came home. We watched 24 and I promptly went back to bed.

This morning I was feeling great. I had to get some things cleaned up in the house, which I did, and then at around 1:00, the fatigue smacked me in the face again. I slept fitfully for about an hour or so.

All this is to say that I have not had energy to do much art, nor have I had the desire to do much blogging. However, I hope tomorrow will be better. Don’t give up on me. I hope to have some art up for you tomorrow…
