So much excitement

I know! Two posts in one day! Well, there’s a lot going on here in the ArtsyFran studio!

First, Andrea, the owner, of Sun Spirit Studio, is a dear friend of mine. So, when she sent me these darling new stamps to the right, I had her doodle birds from her prior release and I just had to use them! So i combined the new DoodleDADs with the Doodle Birda and I made the card to the left. Well, Andrea was so excited with what I made that she decided to put it up on the company’s blog here. It was so much fun to stamp again after such a long break from it. I love teh challenge of doing something with just one company’s stamps. And Andrea has such great stamps that it’s easy!

And, in more news, I received in today’s mail, my Etsy purchase from DJ Pettitt. DJ’s stuff goes so quickly that you can RARELY if ever get to the shop in time to see it in the “for sale” area! And I’ve been stalking her blog watching for an opportunity to buy one of her purses. Well, I got there this week and I snagged this awesome cell phone purse! DJ wrapped this gem up so beautifully!

I opened the Priority Mail envelope to see folded tissue from a pattern. Inside that pattern was a card wrapped by a pretty ribbon and more patterned tissue. I opened it up (it was so exciting! Like my birthday or something! LOL) there was a pattern envelope. Inside that envelope was more tissue with my lovely new purse inside it. I immediately put my Treo in it and it is a PERFECT fit! I now have a piece of DJ right next to me! Thank you dear friend! Not only did I get a lovely piece of functional art, but I also have more patterned tissue to use for my artwork! What a deal!

Tomorrow I’ll share with you some of the fun fabric I found at JoAnn’s when I went to get my heavy duty needles. Oh so many ideas running around my brain!
