Snowbird, UT

Dave and I are in Snowbird, UT now. We left at 2 am on Friday morning to drive from Phoenix all the way to Snowbird, which is southeast of Salt Lake City. I used to do a lot of travel into UT on a regular basis for my job as publisher of Scrapbooking.com Magazine. It has been over a year since I’ve been here. Usually when I visited, I would see clients and research editorial opportunities. It’s nice, this time, to be able to relax and enjoy the fabulous scenery of this state.
Why Snowbird? Dave has a professional meeting here of the International Peripheral Nerve Society. he’s presenting some of his data in one of his specialty diseases. He’s at the meeting while I’m enjoying the scenery and the relaxation. The drive was lovely. We love to take road trips together because it gives us uninterrupted couple time that we don’t always get in the usual day-to-day life. We talked, listened to music, and listened to a book on CD. We also have uploaded audiobooks onto our iPods. With lots to catch up on, time to share, and listen to books and music, we arrived in Snowbird at 5:30 happy, if tired. We ate an early dinner and then promptly prepared for bed. I was asleep in 15 minutes! We both slept through the night. We’re staying at the Cliff Lodge, which is lovely, even though it’s confusing to get around!
I’ll be doing some drawing, photography, and watercolors as the week goes on. I’ll download some photos tomorrow to share this lovely spot! Have a great Sunday!

Fran, this sounds like a wonderful trip. I hope it gives you lots of opportunity for relaxation and art and more couple time.

Hi Beautiful, I hope you’re having a wonderful time – sounds that way. I see that you also have been very, very busy. Interesting cards. I especially like the little purses you’ve made. might we see them in your etsy sometime too?
Lots of great stuff even though your health has been problematic again. Great news that the hearing is fine in your “good” ear.
must tootle.
Angels be with you,
Wendy
