Today’s Lessons: What not to do

You’ve heard of the show, “What Not to Wear”. Well, I’m going to tell you what not to do when you’ve got a migraine.
- Do not, under any circumstances, try to be efficient about straightening up the kitchen before coffee
- Do not ever try to make changes to your website or blog’s code
- Do not ever forget to back up your code editor BEFORE you start to alter it.
Why do I tell you these things? Because this morning, for the third time this week, I’ve awoken with a migraine. And, well, I had stuff to do! And I tried to be efficient by taking the coffee filters out of the coffeemakers and putting the small one inside the large (DH and I like different coffee). The smaller filter spilled all over the counter. Not a good way to start!
And then I decided to make a change to the sidebar of this blog. Well, because I usually am careful and I don’t have problems with making simple changes, I thought I was being so smart! I just went in and deleted something I wanted to remove. Or so I thought. Instead, I removed the entire sidebar. Lucky for me, my websmith was online with me and she bailed me out. I’ve fixed it, as you can see, but I never ever will make a change to any of the code without first backing up a text version of the file I’m editing! Ah, well, there you go. My lessons for you for the day…

Oh goodness! I sure hope those migraines take a hike! My guy gets them too and the silly part about it is that he will take Midol and it seems to do the trick at getting rid of those darn headaches! Funny but those Midol’s don’t help me with their intent LOL It’s alright Fran It took me forever and a day to figure out how to put an image of a book with a link in it! lol The first time I tried it messed up my whole appearance of my blog! *sticks a sticky note to my forehead-”use the help button” ya goof* LOL

I got lucky the last time I made changes and forgot to back up. I was editing online via my browser so I was able to hit the back arrow a couple of times and find my missing code. Really dodged a bullet that day!
